Leonardo da Vinci: his genius and riddles

Leonardo da Vinci was born on the 15th of April in 1452. It is little known about his childhood, but since young age he surprised his surrounding by musical performances and passion to math and drawing. At the age of 15 da Vinci began his studies (painting) at one of the most famous painters of Florence school – Andrea Del Verrokkio, who was also an engineer and sculptor. In 1472 Leonardo became a mater of painting and wrote his first image. He became very prominent with it and always had orders to paint. As well, Leonardo was called as great military consultant and inventor; he was making fireworks and salutes for different celebrations. In 1503 he began to draw the most famous picture Mona Lisa that was for a long time hidden in his house, until the death of the master. It wasn’t returned to a client, if he really existed. One said that he was a famous tradesman in Florence – Francesco Del Giaconda, because the portrait made by da Vinci signed as Giaconda, possibly, meaning that there is his wife. Others just doubt this version. Nevertheless, this image became like a sensation for the whole west European arts. Here several riddles: why she hasn’t eyebrows? Is she smiling or sadden? Where her lips really, why are they looking as one with her face? How she’s always looking at observer and what’s beyond her? Uninhabited landscape, like no one’s living there, but she, Mona Lisa, looks like really urban woman? I wish you, guys, to answer on a couple of these questions! Good luck and have a nice day!

I heared the reason she has no eyebrows is that they were rubbed off by a cleaner who used the wrong solvent on it…

I think that the backgroung might resemble the darkness of the middle ages and the reason that she’s smiling is because she knows that the darkness will doon come to a end.

i think da vinci did not drwa her eyebrows so people would not know if she is really smiling r if shes sad, if u think about it eyebrows show emotion !

i agree with the no eyebrows because they show emotion. notice she has no ring on and that she is no looking at him. she is looking to the side as if she sees something that makes her happy but it is not him. its a settle smile like she wasnt smiling b4 but when she looked to the side her thoughts overcame her and gave her the start of the smile.

in my opinion i didnt put the eyebrows down because i wanted to make the audience think about weather or not she was smiling? The reason that there is no specific backround is because i wanted it to represent the chaos i was feeling in my head, heart and soal.

isnt it obvious? She know somethiing… She has a secret, a very important secret that can chance peoples life. When she tell this secret to the the rest of the world, if she tell it of course, a lot of people will disagree with her… but, she knows what she knows, no one can chance that..

the questions is, will she tell us the secret? What is it about? Why does she love to see us wondering what it is? Can it be something about Jesus, Maria Magdalene and their relationship?!
